We are a small, dynamic web design company, based in the Blackdown Hills in Devon, which supplies all the services you need for a successful web site, all in one place.
Beyond the bells and whistles, we deliver results based on our expertise and technical knowledge. We specialise in web solutions for not-for-profit organisations and publicly-funded initiatives, working closely with clients to help them achieve their goals within an attractive and sustainable solution.
3 years ago, we realised the need for simple, professional websites that rise above the run-of-the-mill template solutions. SitesPlus allows businesses to develop their web presence from simple online brochure to an online shop. YourClubSite and SWChambersOnline help to promote and manage membership organisations.
Who are we?
Magellan was founded in 2001 by its two hands-on directors, Kate Doodson and Patricia Emery.
A civil engineer by training, Kate has 10 years experience in all aspects of web design and marketing. Prior to founding Magellan, she worked in the public and private sector, latterly managing a major web-based EU funded project.
She specialises in project managing information-rich, custom websites for non-commercial organisations and initiatives and enjoys getting out and about delivering a variety of workshops and seminars.
Another scientist, Patricia's roots in further education put her at the interface of business and education. She set up, and managed, a highly-successful business/education network in the South West, attracting businesses of all shapes and sizes.
It is no surprise that she was the driving force behind Magellan's simple web solutions for businesses and membership organisations. Pat understands that ease of day-to-day management is just as crucial as quality.
